R35 Frenzy Kit
Since the introduction of the R35 Frenzy, we have received a steady stream of enquiries asking about a kit format.
We are now proud to introduce the R35 frenzy kit. We understand that many of you seasoned kit builders out there have the equivalent of a small forest in balsa stock nestled away in your workshops and therefore, really don't want to part with your hard earned cash on balsa and accessories when you already have them.
To this end, we have produced the R35 Frenzy as a 'short kit' providing the laser cut components and allowing you save money and also select your favourite components but don't worry, we can supply everything if required.
Retro Junior
Following on from the success of our 'Retro' 3 in 1 design, we have produced a smaller smaller version designed for electric and glow engine propulsion.
The Retro Junior still comes with the choice of three different tail sections so that the builder can choose between German, French or English variants allowing for individual customisation.
With a two piece 60 inch wing, rapid laser cut construction and an all up weight of around 5lbs, we are sure you will agree that this aircraft is a real winner.
Happy Customer
The first R35 Frenzy to be produced is now undergoing extensive flight testing and tuning with its new owner at the Flyboyz Display Team. Early reports confirm that the aircraft does indeed possess excellent low speed handling qualities and that the EME 35 is an excellent match for the airframe. Look out for this aircraft (racing number 61) at the 2020 shows and events.
R35 Cup (open house)
LMA Gaydon Show
It was great to meet everyone at the LMA Gaydon show last weekend. The R35 Frenzy went down a storm with four already sold. I think the real 'buzz' is about the new R35 Cup racing series with many expressing a strong interest in entering. Remember that the R35 is available now and you can make the most of a limited time offer from Propguy where lucky modellers can purchase the R35 with an EME 35 engine for just £895.
Almost Ready
Setup has been going well on the prototype R35 Frenzy. We now have the EME 35 engine installed courtesy of Propguy. The servos (Hitec HS-635HB) are in and the linkages have been created and installed. The new hinge system seems strong, smooth and free from play. We have chosen to use the new FrSky Horus X10S running a customised Open TX software as can be seen in the video. This is a great transmitter featuring dual ball raced hall sensor gimbals which give great resolution and minimal friction.
LMA Much Marcle Show
On September 1st we visited the Large Model Association model show at Much Marcle to to display the new, but as yet unfinished prototype R35 Frenzy on the Propguy stand. The weather was a little windy but a good display was put on by the LMA display pilots. There was much interest in the new aircraft which will hopefully be flying at the LMA Elvington event on 12th and 13th October. Find out more here.
LMA Cosford Show
On July 6th & 7th we visited the Large Model Association model show at RAF Cosford to help out our good friends at Propguy. The weather on Saturday was a little wet and windy but Sunday was a glorious day with the sun banking the grass. The Flyboyz team put on a display in the trade slot flying the Retro aircraft. This is a great aircraft available in 3 different versions with a 2 piece wing and fuselage for easy transportation.
